Bradley Getting Sqeezed?

Ex-Dodger tidbit, from the April 13 SF Chronicle:
http://tinyurl.com/ogzfj

A couple of scouts suspect umpires are being hard on Milton Bradley, possibly because of his abrasive personality:

On the plus side, Bradley seems to have a good attitude about it, in print anyway:

Bradley also isn't getting a lot of calls lately. One scout who saw the A's series at Seattle believes that Bradley has been getting squeezed and another said that umpires seem to be out to get the outfielder because of his temperamental reputation. Bradley struck out seven times this year, and the last six have been looking. Like Thomas, though, Bradley has not complained, though he did fire his bat in frustration after one strikeout.

"I'm just being too picky at what I swing at,'' Bradley said. "I'm not being my normal aggressive self. The bottom line is (the umpires) aren't going to change, so I've got to change.''

Bradley has three hits in the past two days, but when asked how he's feeling at the plate, he said, "Terrible. When I hit singles, it's not good.''

You know it.
I think this is common. You especially see it in the NBA. With Bradley, the two years he was with the Dodgers were marked by more than a couple of incidents where umpires got in Bradly's face, not the other way around. I suspect some umpires do this to prove that they're "in charge." Lots of authority figures do this.
