The End Of Centerfielder, Scott Hairston
A few days after I made fun of the Padres for creating a lineup that might get out scored by the Giants on a bad day, they've managed to fix a few holes. First, they inked Tadahito Iguchi to a one year contract, which was a great deal, very similar to the Eckstein deal that I'm a huge fan of. Now, they traded nothing of consequence for Jim Edmonds. Edmonds can't hit a lick any more, but on a team that is focused on defense, Edmonds is a great acquisition. Suddenly the lineup that looked laughably bad now looks somewhat decent. Dagnabit.
