Los Angeles Dodgers at Philadelphia Phillies, Oct 10, 2008 1:35 PM PDT
It's okay, the Phillies were supposed to win with Hamels on the mound. Let's take the next three.

Alright Dodgers, let’s freaking do this.

I don’t suppose there’s any point in telling Joe Buck “small sample size,” right?

!!!!!!!
Nice!! Although that was SO CLOSE to being gone.

Really could have used more than one run here.

Is there a reason why Dobbs faces Bills and not Lowe?

Maybe he had a better avg or something. I’ve heard mixed reports about Charlie Manuel’s managing skill.

Crap
I watch the first 1 1/2 at lunch, get back to the parking lot and Chad is just dealing, walkin inside and login and we are LOSING to the bottom of the lineup.

Unbelievable. We’re turning into the cubs.

All those good
things I were going to say about Chad just went out the window.

I’m so glad I managed to be able to work from home the second half of the day so I could torture myself with this.
by the big grabowski on Oct 10, 2008 2:24 PM PDT reply actions
Chad could pile
up 10 K’s and it won’t remove the stench of that 2nd inning. Now he can only go around 5, six at the most. You can only keep the 1-5 down for so long. If you are going to let the black holes beat you there is not point in getting the good hitters out.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
HAHAHA
Buck just totally cut off Rosenthal.

You have to love a sport where you can eat a cheesesteak close to game time and not have affect your performance.

Great Central Steak and Hoagie company. Best cheesesteaks in Cali. Not as good as the original, but still awesome.

This game has
shades of the Luzinski game. Who will be our Rhoden? Kershaw?
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
It is Park
instead of Kershaw. Kiss this goodbye unless he pinch hits for Park in the 3rd. Hell by then we may have already kissed this one good bye but I think we have a bunch of runs in us today.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
I think Kershaw’s going to start game 4.

On the plus side
I don’t think Myers has enough to hit again.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
This could be the
10-3 drubbing we gave the Cubs in game two. We just need to come back the same way the Cubs did after that game.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Cool. Another super original “Beat LA” chant.

Since I couldn’t do it for Chad
More like Chan Blow Park.

Guess I won't have to wonder
if we will be hitting for Chan or not.

Beimel already? I expected Maddux or McDonald

Joe Beimel is not the godsend I thought he would be.

You give up to soon
for two years you told us he sucked and then when you change your toon, he sucks. That home run he hasn’t given up in ages is due right about now.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Ok. Bringing in Beimel seems really stupid.
by the big grabowski on Oct 10, 2008 3:09 PM PDT reply actions
This seems like the longest
inning of the year.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Here is McDonald
hate to see a big fly here.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
The Dodgers
need to start getting more than 1 run out of the rallies they start.

Nice job by
James. Maybe he is our Rick Rhoden. Philly fans are having fun.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Ok i’m never typing “rally time” again.
by the big grabowski on Oct 10, 2008 3:19 PM PDT up reply actions
Come on
just 6 more solo homers without giving up a run. We can do it!

3 run shot right here! Get us back in the game.

Not sure I like letting McDonald bat there.

Yeah, but who pitches the rest of the game? I guess Maddux can.
by the big grabowski on Oct 10, 2008 3:49 PM PDT up reply actions
Gah. I thought Blake had a hit there.
by the big grabowski on Oct 10, 2008 3:49 PM PDT reply actions
We have this guy
named Kershaw. No point in a game 4 if we don’t win a game before we get there. Lowe can go in 3 days rest.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Rick Rhoden great
let’s complete the 77 comeback.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
We need to get at least
one baserunner this inning. Manny won’t see a strike.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
We pwned Durbin
twice in LA. We’ll need to pwn him again.

and then will bring in Romero to face Ethier and he will walk him.

Or not
We needed something that inning.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
There's still time.
Manny will get at least 1 more AB.

I think
those commercials are funny. I like the one when Melvin says “You’re a liar”. The dubbed voice at that part is hilarious.

So Andrew
you heard that Denker was taken off the Giant 40 man and the Padres snagged him. Three months ago he was playing 2nd base for the Giants and that crappy offensive unit couldn’t find a spot for him on the 40 man. WTH. I knew Depo would get him.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
It's been a long time
since I have seen Kemp have a good AB.
by Chzburger Jones on Oct 10, 2008 4:21 PM PDT reply actions
At least Kemp has his walking shoes on.

Nomar against a righty isn’t nearly as exciting.

Nomar playing 3rd

DID YOU FORGET ABOUT JUAN PIERRE???

I was ticked earlier
but the job of the bullpen calmed me down. Cub fans have to wondering how they lost 3 games in a row to us.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
We might need
another Manny 3 run bomb……but Furcal just struck out.
by Chzburger Jones on Oct 10, 2008 4:41 PM PDT reply actions
Philly
has a good bullpen. It was the difference between them and the Mets.
by Chzburger Jones on Oct 10, 2008 4:45 PM PDT reply actions
Yea, but a 3 run blown save is a different story.
this is is over. Onto the Dodger Rays.

Alright
a walk and a knock will tie it up. Though I don’t exactly have 100% faith in Kemp right now.

I take back
any bad thought or thing I have said about Matt Kemp. He is my hero.
If Lidge gives up a blast right here
then maybe he will have another psychological meltdown like after the Pujols homer in the post-season a few years back.

Carlos Santana
would have a 3 – 0 count right now.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Well at least
We didn’t trade for Sabathia. Otherwise right now we would not have Manny or James McDonald.
by Chzburger Jones on Oct 10, 2008 5:35 PM PDT reply actions
rollins, utley, howard, and burrell
they combined for 2-14 9Ks 5BBs. besides the 5 walks, we absolutely limited their best hitters throughout the night. unfortunately, victorino stepped up and so did brett myers (i can’t believe i just said that) to make up for their lack of offense.
this was a winnable game.. hopefully we win the 3 games at home to take it back to philly.
Matt Kemp for president.
Adrian Wilson for vice.
