All You Need To Know; Why Dodgers are Up 2-0

Here's all you need to know why the Blue Nation will be celebrating on Saturday its first post season victory in 20 years:

Star-divide

  • Furcal vs. Soriano (the 1 hole)- your job is to get on base gentlemen and set the table: Furcal .450 ; Soriano .111
  • Defense. Avg. number of errors per game: Chicago 2.5, L.A. 0.5
  • Will the guy who is worse than Fukudome get in there in bat? 0 for 8. Oh, I guess it can't get worse.  There's no one waiting in the wings that can do any damage- Pinella just can't say that.
  • Torre's expertise, high level of credibility and unchallenged command at managing a group of veteran pitchers in the playoffs. If you don't understand this, please read baseball history under: greatest managers of all-time at managing a veteran ball club.
  • The black hole for the Cubs. The second hole. Why are they saying that Pinella was wrong putting Fukudome in the second spot in the first game? Fukudome was replaced by Theriot in the second game. Theriot went OH for 4 in game 2. Not exactly better. The second hole has been a killer for the Cubs (0 for 8) throughout the series. The Cubs have got nothing. Nada. The Dodgers? Under Martin (now who should be the NL all-star starting catcher?) the second hole delivered a game crushing, dagger-in-the-heart, triple that plated three runs. Also, his dead center HR in the ninth of the first game, let the Cubs know that they weren't anywhere near a comeback and hid Saito's rustiness for 24 more hours.
  • Oh, I forgot to mention Manny Ramirez.
  • Torre will also manage the next game as if he's down 0-2. He still has fresh in his melon the meltdown in '04. He was making comments about the Boston comeback after being down 0-3 even before game one of this series even started.  If it takes 7 pitchers to win game 3, he'll do it. And he's got fresh pitchers to do it!

    YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

i did not attend the game tonight, but i did watch the rest of it from the 3rd inning. the dodgers were already up 2-0, thanks to james loney’s two run double in the 1st inning. kuroda pitched a 6.1 IP gem continuosly frustrating the cubbies hitters with ground ball after ground ball. jonathan broxton pitched a perfect 1.1 striking out 3 of the 4 batters he faced.

    i’m from las vegas actually.

    Matt Kemp for president.
    Adrian Wilson for vice.
