Tony Jackson reports that the Dodgers agreed to terms with Marcus Giles to become our new third baseman, and he was to learn the position for a few days in Vegas. At some point when he was driving down the 15 Giles had an ephinany/got an angry phone call from his wife/found religion and decided that he really didn't want to play baseball after all. Looks like Blake Dewitt keeps his job for a few more days.

Now that the damage has been done and Dewitt has been placed on the 40 man roster, I can't say I'm too unhappy about this.
