Blue Sparks 4/21 - 4/27
I had so much material from the previous week Blue Sparks I knew I would have to pay the piper at some point but I didn't think it would be the very next week.
Other then Kershaw every single player I highlighted last week decided to follow their great week with a week as bad as the other week was good, and no one else stepped up to take their spots. The Blue Sparks were snuffed out.
Cory Wade who was mentioned in the honor role last week got called up and saw plenty of action in his 1st week.
Lombard who had a great spring proved once again how meaningless spring stats are as he could do nothing with AAA pitching and has retired.
Eric Stults has found himself back in AA as he continues his trip to oblivion along with Zach Hammes.
[Update] Stults is still in AAA but Tanyon Sturtze is getting whacked in AA. Thanks to El Lay Dave for the catch.

Winthrow?
Haven’t seen anything on Chris Winthrow. Has he pitched at all this season?

Extended spring training. Sounds like the plan is for him to pitch in one of the rookie leagues after the draft.

I still love the minor-league updates, even if that news isn't all rosy.
Blake DeWitt didn’t get a chance to do much in AAA, but what career numbers he has there: .500 .800 1.000 ;)
Something cross-wired on your Stults source? He’s pitching tonight (Monday) for Vegas.
Thought: Jason Repko is 27. If he’s not in the majors now (I understand the logjam in the Dodger OF), isn’t he in danger of having better odds of being the next George Lombard or John-Ford Griffin than a major-league OF?

Your right, my eyes were tired. I saw Sturtze and for some reason assigned Stults to it. Thanks for the catch. Tanyon Sturtze continued his slide into oblivion but Stults is still treading water.
