I'm still a little miffed by Dlowe's comments

did anyone bring any attention to that in the paper today, didn’t get a chance to see it?

It’s nights like these I’m glad I don’t have Derek Lowe on my fantasy team.

Did Andruw Jones get robbed of a homer?

by Tango and Cash on Apr 29, 2008 5:33 PM PDT reply reply   0 recs

Outfielders

Well

there goes Lowe’s run support

That

was a boss catch by Uggla falling into the stands.

Loney

is still mad at Lowe from last year when he tried to get him traded for the man with two many vowels.

Lonestar does seem a little to nonchalant when it comes to his fielding. I was led to believe he had gold glove talent at 1st base and I’ve yet to see where he excels in anything defensively. He’s okay but he’s no Minky with the glove.

I feel like he makes it look

so easy a lot of the time that its hard to appreciate the work he usually does over there, but im not gonna make any excuses for that last one, that hurt us.

Well, Jeff Kent

Still trying to defy Father Time. He hasn’t fallen off the cliff yet. He’s hard to like, but he still has skills.

I just wish he would shave. If only one time in his life.

Re

He shaves at least once every few days.

Chuck Tiffany is finally back on the mound.

Via Rotowire:
Tiffany (shoulder) pitched a scoreless inning of relief at High-A Vero Beach for the Rays on Saturday, his first game action since May 2006. Tiffany had rotator cuff surgery in the late summer of 2006, and it’s been a long road back.

Imagine

if Tiffany can actually come back from his shoulder explosion. Meanwhile Edwin Jackson has averaged over 6 IP per start with a 3.86 ERA and 1.286 WHIP. The Dodger effectively traded Jackson, Tiffany and Aybar for a little Baez, some Betemit, then Scott Proctor. Hmmm. I suppose that if the Dodgers thought Tiffany’s motion seemed iffy for injury-risk, trading him while he had value made sense, but like so many argued at the time Colletti should have gotten more than a crummy middle-reliever and a crummy closer with bad peripherals who should have been a middle-reliever and whose #1 career similarity score is Joe Borowski?

I really wonder to whom Ned listens when it comes to evaluating non-Dodger major league players?
