Okay. I’m really back tonight. No more saying I’m back then taking a 2 hour nap.
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 5:01 PM PDT 0 recs
Sadly, I’ll only be around for hour one of this game.

Pickoff Attempt on Andruw Jones? Don’t they know he doesn’t steal bases anymore?
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 5:09 PM PDT 0 recs
Wouldn’t you just feel bad if Jones got a rare hit and you just picked him off?

It’d be like throwing out the unathletic kid in dodgeball. You don’t feel great for doing it.

You’d think having Jones barrelling down at you would be too indimidating.

My bro and I traded George Sherrill for Brett Myers in one our fantasy leagues. Myers has given up like a thousand runs in his last 2 starts. Great trade by us.

Yeah, he’s throwing 88 and making me upset.

I can’t believe Sherrill already has 15 saves. We might’ve been able to get more than just Myers.

Derek Lowe with a 1-2-3 inning? I didn’t know he could still do that.

Why isn’t Vinny doing these games? Does he not travel this far east?
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 5:25 PM PDT 0 recs
Nope. He only does NL West road games.

Why are you getting Mexican if you’re on a diet? Isn’t Mexican anti-diet food?
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 5:34 PM PDT 0 recs
Pretty much. It’s not a horribly strict one, just a general eat healthier kind of thing. Plus I cut enough fat that I don’t look bloated any more, so I’m trying to add muscle.

Damn it, DeWitt. Stop swinging at pitches outside the zone.
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 7:48 PM PDT 0 recs
Nobody should swing at anything. Mota’s pitching everyone away and outside.
by Tango and Cash on May 14, 2008 7:51 PM PDT 0 recs
An 0-5 collar for Kemp with 3 Ks. I see the wheels of Joe’s mind spinning already, “Ethier in RF against Sheets. JP stays in LF and Jones in CF. Kemp to the bench! C’mon Larry, let’s get a scotch.”
by El Lay Dave on May 14, 2008 8:07 PM PDT 0 recs
Although that last K by Kemp was truly atrocious. From what it looked like on Gameday, he shouldn’t have been swung at any of the 5 pitches he ended up swinging at. One of the worst ABs I’ve seen in awhile. He should’ve walked on 4 pitches. Especially considering Mota couldn’t throw his slider for a strike to save his life.

And Sammy, coming back from the flu, closes it with a 2 K, 1-2-3 ninth. Forever and ever. Amen.
