As much as I tend to disparage Blake DeWitt, he’s shown the demeanor of a devoted professional since he’s been up here, as evidenced by his delightful numbers in de clutch .

Runners in scoring position: .379/.486/.552

With two outs and runners in scoring postion: .563/.611/.813

Tie Games: .360/.467/.560

2^nd and 3^rd: 1.000/1.000/2.000

Bases Loaded: 1.000/1.000/1.500

In his brief time in de majors, DeWitt has lived up to the demands of life in de bigs. He’s made a very good case to not get demoted any time soon.

I’m still firmly in the LaRoche camp, but I would look like a gigantic douche if I wrote something about DeWitt having an unsustainable BABIP right now.

I try to be positive at least once a month.
