Piazza

The Piazza stance was OK.. a little too much movement—but why the huge step in the swing? The way I remember it, he had almost no movement in his front leg. He’s the reason my softball swing is all arm.

Chan Ho

Even though you knew the karate kick was coming, that was still the best. I also like Gibson’s, and I liked Green’s because instead of running he just did the shoe tap again.

Batting stance guy

I use to do this as a kid. I’d stand in the living room with one of those small wooden bats you use to get at Dodger Stadium and do a batting stance impression and see if my dad could guess who I was. The obvious ones like Rose, Morgan and Bobby Bonds were too easy. Some of my favorite ones were Ron Cey, Steve Garvey, Rick Monday and Cesar Geronimo.
