reading and posting in threads can be a pain. Large threads are too much for Safari mobile to handle.

Still I can’t live without my iPhone. I highly suggest you nab Sports Tap and Sportacular.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I highly suggest you buy Contra 4 for the DS. Dual-screen Contra!

Way ahead of you

I bought that for my GF for her birthday actually.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I’m trying to get all the secret characters in the Challenge Mode. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t even been able to beat the game on normal yet. That last guy is hard.

Contra 4

is not for the faint of heart or weak of thumb.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I just got Jimbo and Sully!

Congrats

you are a determined man.

Also, where do you find a girlfriend who likes Contra?

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 7:59 PM PDT up reply actions

College

I think she only managed to finish the game on easy before asking me for something else to play though.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

Juan Pierre starting

:(

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

by bluemax on Aug 20, 2008 7:25 PM PDT reply actions

Why does he always bat over Ethier against lefties? He’s a lefty, too! It’s not like he can hit lefties and Ethier can’t.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 7:51 PM PDT up reply actions

AND GIVE MARTIN A DAY OFF IF YOU DON’T HAVE HIM CATCHING!

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 7:51 PM PDT up reply actions

Lets look at splits!

Juan Pierre career vs LHP .303/.348/.346/.694
Andre Ethier career vs LHP.274/.326/.404/.730

So Juan wins average and obp but fails in slugging. I’d take Ethier’s nearly 40 point difference in OPS.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

Bills throwing too many pitches

38 already? We’re not out of the second.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

by bluemax on Aug 20, 2008 7:42 PM PDT reply actions

Billingsley must not have it tonight if he’s throwing 3 balls to Taveras. He could just throw fastballs down the middle and Taveras probably couldn’t do anything with them.

If I wasn't at work

I’d try and pay more attention to Pitch F/x to see what’s going on.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

How in the hell

did he manage to swipe a base?

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

that’s what i was thinking when i saw the boxscore

CLAYTON KERSHAW 4 PRESIDENT!
MATT KEMP 4 VICE!

Billingsley

4 innings pitched 72 pitches. At this rate he’ll be lucky to go 6.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

Ehhh.

110 through 5.2

Probably time to pull him.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

114 through 6

Only 68 strikes. Wild night for Bills.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

by bluemax on Aug 20, 2008 9:04 PM PDT up reply actions

If I had to take a guess, I’d say he settled down quite a bit in the later innings.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 9:09 PM PDT up reply actions

I didn’t think they’d pull him when the pitcher is batting.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 9:05 PM PDT up reply actions

Mark Sweeney might be the worst player in the majors, if not for Angel Berroa.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 9:11 PM PDT reply actions

And Chan Ho Park attempts to ruin the win.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 9:20 PM PDT reply actions

There goes Billingsley’s win.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 20, 2008 9:20 PM PDT reply actions

What a night to go to a game!

No Ethier, no Loney, the national anthem had the wrong words, and the Dodgers get 4 errors.

It was also nice of Torre to leave Ardoin in in the bottom of the ninth when Ethier was available to hit.
