If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I know this joke is 3 years too late, but shouldn’t Derek Lowe’s theme music be “Love is a Battlefield” due to his extramarital affairs and subsequent messy separation? Who’s with me? Zing!

I’m pretty sure Werth’s goatee is “caramel kiss”

Upon telling my friends that half of my hair is now “caramel kiss”

“Never say that again, ever.”

What’s that?

by Tango and Cash on Aug 24, 2008 6:33 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

The new color of a third of my hair. They should make manly hair dye with names like 2 × 4 brown.

You only dyed a third of your hair? Did you lose a bet?

by Tango and Cash on Aug 24, 2008 6:36 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

No, I thought it would look good. It’s a subtle thing.

Or I’m a whole lotta gay, one of the two.

You live in California, so something like that will be subtle next to the guy with pink hair.

Does anybody else here hate Dane Cook besides me?

by Tango and Cash on Aug 24, 2008 6:32 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yes.

Then you will enjoy this MadTV burn. This guy’s impersonation is dead on. From Dane Cook’s voice to his inability to actually tell jokes.

I have the same haircut as Dane Cook, dammit.

At least you don’t do the Su-Fi.

That was pretty awesome, hair realization aside.

So so much

I won’t date a girl who finds him funny.

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

Nomar

has dropped 120 points of OPS since his walk off home run. Manny has one extra base hit since Nomar’s walk off.

Andy Marte is now out hitting a certain 3rd baseman but neither is hitter over 200.

Wily Aybar may end up better then either of them. Go figure.

by Phil Gurnee on Aug 24, 2008 6:34 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

If Aybar ends up better than both of them, they’re going to be very bad.

by Tango and Cash on Aug 24, 2008 6:37 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I felt if Aybar

got regular at bats he’d do okay. Nothing special but better then the Dobbs of the world. Of course I also thought that if LaRoche got regular at bats he’d be damn good. Couldn’t be any worse then he’s been since joining the Pirates.

Looks like Casey Blake is not going be worth Meloan much less Santana. Other then a few home runs he’s been lousy offensively. Hard to believe Ned has such a hard time finding a 3rd baseman.

So, right when I mentioned Nomar was doing well…

Hasn't the team as a whole

pretty much died offensively this series? We have what 5 runs?

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

And we're tied

I knew that was coming.

Wow

based off Game Day it looks like Loney took that one deep.

One run off Joe Blanton in Philly?

At least I was right about

one thing. Cano is on fire again in the 2nd half.
