Celebrate

Back on Aug 29th we had lost the first game to Arizona and extended our losing streak to 8 games with the prospects of facing the dynamic duo of Haren and Webb. The season looked to be going down the tubes and the dramatic trade for Manny was proving fruitless.

Less then 30 days later we are NL Western Division Champions and even though we won the division by virtue of Arizona losing today, the Dodgers had one of their best Septembers in history to earn this division championship.

Walk off for the solution

Old time celebration

Could this be what it will be like in 30 days?

Crazy lineup tonight.

Dodgers:

Furcal, SS
Kent, 2B
Ramirez, LF
Ethier, RF
Loney, 1B
Blake, 3B
Kemp, CF
Ardoin, C
Stults, LHP

Kent probably gets one at bat and gets pulled but I'm curious to see how long Furcal can play. I hope Martin doesn't play until Saturday.

So when do tickets go on sale?

If it wasn't for college football I'd probably have given up on sports.

I've got mine

I assume they went on sale sometime early this week.

I imagine tonight will be more of a party than just watching a game, should be good.

Ugh...... ::grumbling::

Congratulations, Dodger fans, on behalf of all of us at the Snakepit.

I hope you’ll understand if we’re a tad bit bitter about all of this. Set franchise records for consecutive games in 1st place and total games in first place, and still fail.

Mark Reynolds leads the majors in errors and strikeouts. That's a good thing, right??

OTOH,

since we did you a favor by totally sucking over the past month, (including going 0-11 on the road at one point) would you do us the slight favor of lighting up Lincecum’s last start?? We really want Webby to get the Cy Young….

Thanks

Look forward to battling you guys for the next few years. We had a lucky schedule in Sept this year and your bullpen just couldn’t shoot straight. Bullpens are easy to fix.

The bullpen doesn't hit,

so they couldn’t have helped the fact that, at one point this month, we went 2-31 w/ RISP….

Great celebration afterwards

Funny to celebrate after a loss, but it was fun to see them come back out and poor champagne on people in the crowd.

Also funny to see not-yet-21 Kershaw involved in the celebrations.
