First place is on the line, and Arizona uses that lineup?

Can’t Upton play CF? Do they ever bench Young?

by dan310 on Sep 6, 2008 1:36 PM PDT up reply actions

I don’t think they do. Upton has injury issues so I don’t think they want him in CF.

Augie Ojeda is harder to justify.

by dan310 on Sep 6, 2008 1:52 PM PDT up reply actions

Reynolds probably needed a day off.

This seems like a good day for Bills to pad his strike out numbers. Shame Reynolds isn’t in.

Did we just bunt the guy over for Bills?

He may have been hoping for a hit. Berroa can do no wrong.

by dan310 on Sep 6, 2008 1:52 PM PDT up reply actions

Hopefully Torre beat him then.

Anti-Clutch

Where’s Lou Gehrig when you need him.

Was that at bat as bad as it looked on Gameday?

I think he swung at three balls after Webb walked two guys, so yeah, not a professional AB.

by dan310 on Sep 6, 2008 1:54 PM PDT up reply actions

Yes

It was completely inexcusable. Webb misses 8 times in a row, and then Manny swings at three consecutive balls. It was unbelievable.

by Brendan Scolari on Sep 6, 2008 1:56 PM PDT up reply actions

Cool, just making sure.

Yep

It was really disappointing. Manny seems to get like that sometimes, where he’s just decided he’s gonna hack away.

by Brendan Scolari on Sep 6, 2008 1:58 PM PDT up reply actions

That certainly makes up for it.

Yes it does

OMG I screamed so loud. Wow that was awesome!!!!!!

by Brendan Scolari on Sep 6, 2008 2:27 PM PDT up reply actions

Maybe Manny swinging away isn’t such a bad idea.

by dan310 on Sep 6, 2008 2:26 PM PDT reply actions

Yeah

Well at least that was a decent pitch to hit.

by Brendan Scolari on Sep 6, 2008 2:27 PM PDT up reply actions

Pinchhitter?

Should you leave Billz in here? I think so but I don’t know his pitch count.

by Brendan Scolari on Sep 6, 2008 2:39 PM PDT reply actions

Wow,

Manny hit a fly ball to the track, but Upton lost it in the sun for a ground rule double! First place finally?
