AFL and John Sickels Dodger prospect update.
On a slow day as we await Thursday here is some prospect info. Aaron Miller has been added to the Arizona Fall League roster giving the team an interesting mix of talent . Notable players are Aaron Miller, Trayvon Robinson, Javy Guerra, Travis Schlichting, Lucas May, and Andrew Lambo. This will be Lambo's 2nd go round in the AFL, last year he was one of the youngest players in the league. Guerra will continue to try to make his case as a future closer, Schlichting will try to make up ground for a lost year due to injury, Lucas May is hoping to build off his excellent showing in the World Cup, and Trayvon Robinson puts his considerable skills on display in CF. Seems like a group worth checking out.
John Sickels who writes the minor league report for SBN recently updated his top 100 prospect list, and two Dodgers made the list. Dee Gordon jumped to number 32 while Aaron Miller went from being drafted in the 1st round supplemental to number 85. Very very few A ball players are on the list a head of Gordon. How many guys who were drafted in 2009 are are head of Miller? Quite a few but some of the big name number one picks like Alex White and Aaron Crow are all within shouting distance of Miller. Looks to me like we got our number one pick anyway. Not that I put much substance into such lists but they are fun to look at and complain about when our prospects don't make it , or to praise it when they do.

Probably a technicality since he was promoted just before year’s end.

I guess he was promoted before the cutoff?
Aaron Miller is on the fast track though. Last A ball pitcher to pitch in the AFL for the Dodgers?

5 hits
Please tell me that they included a single, double, triple, and home run so that he yielded a Kreb’s cycle.

These top 100 lists are fun stuff, but not to be taken to seriously. Outstanding though, was the overall play of Gordon, and the pitching of Miller. These two guys taking off so fast was imposiible to predict. just goes ta show ya!

Nice report.
The prospects coming up may be my favorite part of the Dodgers and baseball in general.
