Why Cliff Lee Doesn't Scare Me (Cy Who?)

In the last month the Dodgers have come out on top of some pretty impressive pitchers, why stop now?  Here's what we've done since September 19th.

Tim Lincecum (2008 Cy Young Award Winner) - Dodgers win

Chris Carpenter (2005 Cy Young Award Winner) - Dodgers win

Adam Wainwright (2009 Cy Young Finalist) - Dodgers win

Cole Hamels (2008 World Series MVP ) - Dodgers win...almost

Pedro Martinez (1997, 1999, 2000 Cy Young Award Winner) - Dodgers win

Cliff Lee (2008 Cy Young Award Winner) - Dodgers Win!!!!!!

This is all just preparation for CC Sabathia. I aint scurred.

No fear

In his Game 2 postgame press conference, Joe Torre said the team “has absolutely no fear”. That’s what’s enabled them to clinch 43 come-from behind wins, and that’s what will enable them to clinch a World Series berth. Go Dodgers!

Considering how Pedro shut us out for 7 innings, I’d be scared as hell right now.

Pedro in Game 6

The next time we see Pedro will be scary, seeing that he was limited to 90 pitches in gme 2. If he’s on top of his game and is shutting us out again, it’s likely we won’t see the phillies bullpen at all or as early.

honestly

i saw that coming from a mile away. You just KNEW that Pedro had to punish us one more time. Fortunately, there’s always the Philly bullpen :)

Has there ever been a player better than Detlef Schrempf?

yes but were not facing pedro again

so how can u assume that cliff lee will shut us down like him?

last time we faced lee was last year
when he won the cy young
he went 7.1 innings gave up 6H, ER, BB, 3K and picked up the no decision
then again this team is very different than last years

the dodgers arent intimidated at all by playing in philly

they are coming in their with complete confidence in themselves and in getting a win. their excellent recent games along with torre the coaching staff they are extremely well equipped for this game tonight. plus looks like the weather will let up even better

think again

lee is on a roll and the phils are upset that the dodgers lucked out by stupid management, that phillies manager is an idiot to take out pedro with the lousy bullpen philly has

cliff lee doesnt scare me

but for some reason his fastball is unhittable… his cutter cuts a lot and his curve falls from the sky to the floor and then he throws a change up out of nowhere that you swing at 30 seconds too early

Jason Werth scares me

so does Carlos Ruiz
