2009-10 LA Kings Hockey: Where Smyt Happens!!

by DodgerBlueBalls on Oct 18, 2009 7:38 PM PDT reply actions

Caray has been more partial toward the dodgers than the Phillies/Cardinals throughout the whole postseason.

To act like he’s suddenly on their nuts is a joke.
Lee is pitching a fantastic game, and for the second game this series, the dodger pitching has not gotten it done. Then again, unlike game one, neither has the offense.

Can't the guy just call the damn game?

Have you ever heard Vin stroke a player? And he doesn’t call nationally televised games.

by Michael White on Oct 18, 2009 7:39 PM PDT up reply actions

If you didnt know that Vin did Dodgers game already and you were a first time listener you might not know what team he does games for. I love it he is great.

by NotJoeTorre on Oct 18, 2009 7:41 PM PDT up reply actions

I remember this group of TBS broadcasters from last year's ALCS

They get partial toward whichever team has the momentum. They were in love with the Red Sox after game 1, then the Rays won the next three games and all their talk was about what a great story the Rays were, etc. And then when it looked like the Red Sox were going to make ANOTHER comeback from being on the brink (which they have an annoying habit of doing), all their love went back to Boston.

by SabreRoseTiger on Oct 18, 2009 7:41 PM PDT up reply actions

That's completely unprofessional

Not Hawk Harrelson unprofessional, but unprofessional nonetheless.

by Michael White on Oct 18, 2009 7:42 PM PDT up reply actions

Oh, God, I can't stand Hawk

Consider yourselves lucky that the Dodgers don’t play the White Sox eighteen times a season.

by SabreRoseTiger on Oct 18, 2009 7:44 PM PDT up reply actions

Are you not in MI?

therefore you are forced to see Hawk via Extra Innings?

BTW, I am a huge fan of Rod Allen.

by Michael White on Oct 18, 2009 7:45 PM PDT up reply actions

I'm in Ohio, so luckily I do get FSD (and therefore Mario and Rod)

But I’ve seen enough footage of our games from Hawk’s perspective to know that he will never respect the Tigers (I’ve had MLB.tv for a couple years, and up until this year, if I missed a game that was in Chicago and I wanted to watch the replay, I’d get stuck with the home feed).

by SabreRoseTiger on Oct 18, 2009 7:48 PM PDT up reply actions

Surprisingly

only 3 of the 7 hitters that were walked came around to score. That said, the get-em-over pitches on 3-0 and 3-1 counts had a tendency to be hit a long way tonight.

Let them bat back around to Lee
