Hopefully, his struggles in September were just cuz he hit a wall. I went to a game in August where he pitched against the Royals. He gave up a 2-run homer to Billy Butler and a solo home run to Brayan Peña, but it was a game the Tigers won 10-3.

Phillies O Shows up Big Time
11-0. Now THAT is what I have grown accustomed to seeing from the Phils’ bats. The Phils will simply not be intimidated by anyone, not Torre, not Manny’s silly glares, and not the Dodger fans. Look, obviously a name of “gophillies” implies I am a Phillies fan. I just wanted to see how much reaction a comment supporting the Phillies, with no curse words at the Dodgers, would get. It got more than I thought.
When it comes to it, the series is up for grabs, and whichever team wins, I will be rooting for that team against the yankees (and I continue to say yankees).

What other SB Nation blogs (MCC) do, is that when you join you cannot post anything until after 24 hours AND one of the moderators approves the new account. I think this is something our mods should look into if they aren’t able to do an IP ban. IP ban would be the easiest. The 24 hour period, is like the cooling off period when someone wants to go out and buy a gun.

Love the blog
Hey all. I’m a Philly fan who has stumbled on this blog and really enjoy not only the insight but the brutal honestly of some of the fans. Its really kind of cool. Can’t say you LA fans could have enjoyed tonight’s game but its still a long series. The thing I take away from all these games is how well the Phils starters have pitched so far in the series. Either way you guys shouldn’t sleep on Joe Blanton. The guy has been one of our most consistent pitchers this season and just battles in games. Should be an enjoyable ame especially against a guy I used to play poker against all the time while he was hurt with the Phils. (Of course I mean Wolf).
by Cpreils on Oct 18, 2009 11:49 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
Cliff Lee whooped us
The Philly offense… WHOOPED us. It was one of those games that I just threw out the window. I rather lose by 11 than by 1, it’s just ridiculous. Hopefully Dodgers wake up and realize that if they lose the next game, they will put themselves in a whole trying to beat Philly in 3 games, which is a very tall order.
by PHAT JULIO on Oct 18, 2009 11:57 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
joe blanton
is good… he was good against us last year and same with this year going 6 innings givin up 1 run (solo homer)
wolf is gonna allow a homerun.. or 2… lets just hope they are solo shots…

7 game series to emulate LAD's season of ups and downs and ups
Thus far, each game has illustrated a part of LAD’s season. Yesterday’s game was done in the 1st inning. LAD should have just forfeited and saved their energy, lol. Starting pitching has been a problem ALL SEASON LONG! Then, spurts of the bullpen had problems. Then spurts of hitting, etc…. Keep our chins up LAD Blue!
