Dear Randy Wolf

Please throw a lot of strikes, and throw some balls to the head of victorino and ruiz.

Thanks in advance

If I'm curt with this team, it's because time is a factor.

So please, pretty please, with sugar on top, score some fucking runs.

Dear Dodger pitchers,

Please don’t immediately barf up any leads you get the way the Angels’ pitchers have been doing against the Yankees.

Thank you.

And apologies for being a bit jerkish last game. I’ve had a crappy weekend being pissed at the universe because life isn’t fair and a friend is very very sick, and have been trying my best not to take it out on other people. It won’t happen again (I hope).

by NotJoeTorre on Oct 19, 2009 5:35 PM PDT up reply actions

What will Torre getting into an argument really accomplish? If you preach all year to not get too high or low, and you have a pretty calm clubhouse that is comfortable dealing with most things all season (and we do have a 95-67 record and are in the NLCS, by the way), what good would it do to go against that all of a sudden and fly off the handle?

The options are:
1) teach the players how to deal with the situation like a professional
2) act like a spoiled child who doesn’t get his way.

I choose #1 every time.

Yes, the pitches to Howard (and Werth) were strikes, and if Wolf has to hit that small of a strike zone going forward it will be a problem. But we all get it. No need to repeat the same thing over and over again.
