But I thought there was no way he’d be able to get to it in time.

Run and hit, maybe
regardless of what the play was called, it was stupid
I doubt any play was called
Ethier thought he had Park timed, went on his own, and fucked up
cmon bullpen do your job
Because when I think of Boris Diaw, I think of Beethoven and the age of Romanticism....
What the fuck?!
Everything else aside, Torre really does not understand when its appropriate to run and when it is best to stand on the goddamn base and let your best hitter hit.
Torre has said
anyone can run if they think they can make it.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
That's what I'm getting at
There’s just no way that was called
I agree
I think Andre did that on his own.

Man, been out all game at a sports pub.
Fucking Wolf has gotten squeezed, it’s ridiculous how bad the home ump is. The zone has been all over the place, and has killed the Dodgers about 5 more times than it’s done the Phillies.
Little frustrating how all these playoff games are being decided by poor umpiring. They are so much better in the regular season, it seems.

I have confidence in him, but you can bet Howard (due up 4th) would be his last batter. Broxton would be brought in to face Werth if it gets to that.

If Howard gets on with nobody else
he could always walk Werth to get to Ibanez.
At that point the game is tied at least though (if nobody else is on base). It would probably be Troncoso instead.

Which is why we throw the off speed stuff afterwards
That was a really nice swing though
Rodney can get up to 98, 99, but he throws a changeup as his breaking pitch (and a good one)
Verlander can touch 100, definitely, but his breaking pitches are in the 80s. Zumaya’s definitely the hardest thrower (has been clocked at 104), but he needs to stay healthy and learn how to pitch and not just throw (and I’m probably the last Tiger fan left who has any faith in him anymore; most of BYB speaks of him with utter disdain).
