To rehash from last thread.

Kevin Towers fired —> Logan White looking for a GM position —> Dodgers fans should be worried.

Yeah, all those ties to SD are severed.

by Eric Stephen on Oct 2, 2009 9:55 PM PDT up reply actions

I'm sure he still has some ties to San Diego.

Like to the scouting system, and Moorad will likely put an emphasis on scouting. I’m just saying that White is a logical choice.

He's been popping it up foul to the 3rd base side a lot lately

Luckily most of them have been foul. Lets just hope this is one of those times Ethier get’s lucky and kills a lefty here.

Not because we aren't tied or winning or I think the game is over

It’s that we have another situation where Manny can save us, and he comes up fucking short again. I feel that that has been the story since late July for Manny. Not only that but the Kemp shot that looked like it could have been a HR or at least a 2B.

Just kills me.

why is everyone trying to hit it out?

String some singles together. It seems Dodgers are always trying to hit homeruns.

chicks dig the long ball...

…and no one remembers the single-steal-score-on-a-single guys, I guess

Bringing in Street?

Burn rubber on this guy Russell

by Phil Gurnee on Oct 2, 2009 10:29 PM PDT reply actions

You know why the Rockies are so successful?

because they actually have a kick-ass bench. While the Dodgers have Loretta, Pierre (best year in a while, but still Pierre), Castro, Ausmus, Dewitt, Hu, Belliard, etc…

They have like 5 outfielders who could/should be starters on most teams. Oye.

by Ivdown on Oct 2, 2009 10:29 PM PDT reply actions

And it started out so well for us in 09 off the bench

I wouldn’t mind spending some money for the bench this year, and that does not mean 1 mill for ausmus, 2 mill for loretta, and etc…

Blake’s been out a week

by Eric Stephen on Oct 2, 2009 10:33 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah, for some reason I thought he was trying to say Russ or something, which would make no sense. But yeah, it is hurting us.

by Ivdown on Oct 2, 2009 10:36 PM PDT up reply actions

As Vin pointed out

Blake’s been out for a while, needs to get his timing back.

Manny is just way off. Something has got him off kilter. Big adjustments to make.

by Dodger Dude on Oct 2, 2009 10:30 PM PDT reply actions

Just tuned in. I hate to ask something that’s probably been talked about all game, but…

Manny and Blake, 4 Ks apiece?!?

Or just hope.

Or just blind faith.

Nevertheless, I’m sticking with it.

all he's missing is power. Which will come eventually.

He’s fast, he gets on base, he knows how to walk. And he can play good defense.(Although the defensive metrics don’t like him.)

by Tripon on Oct 2, 2009 10:35 PM PDT up reply actions

Brox is awesome

too bad we couldn’t have given him a lead the last 5 4 nights.

by Dodger Dude on Oct 2, 2009 10:36 PM PDT reply actions

Good work, Brox

Do your job in the top, and hopefully someone gets you a win in the bottom.
