Sadly, the Dodgers aren't playing tonight, but baseball goes on.

The last two American League Cy Young Award winners, both with the Indians, will face off tonight in Game 1 of the World Series, as C.C. Sabathia of the Yankees battles Cliff Lee of the Phillies.  Ed Price of AOL Sports tells us this is the second World Series Game 1 match-up of two Cy Young winners, joining Orel Hershiser and Tom Glavine battling in 1995.

The winner of Game 1 has won 19 of the last 22 World Series, and 64 of 104 overall.

It’s like when you’re a kid, and you come home from the soccer tournament, and mom’s like, how’d you do, and you say you won a few games, but then you lost, but it’s okay cause the other team was like three years older and you played them real tough.

For those too lazy to keep track at home, most likely score number 40 hits tonight. Vegas and especially AccuScore wayyyy under estimated the Phillies in this game.

THE YANKEES

lost this game before it even started because they didn’t trade for Cliff Lee at the trading deadline, giving up barely anything at all!! they obviously didn’t really want to win….

On the radio it was said that

Only one other LH hitter had hit two HRs in the same WS game off the same LHP (Utley hit two off CC). The other LH hitter was some guy named Ruth.
