"I would love to [return to the Dodgers," he said. "I’m not sure if that’s a mutual feeling. They have their goals for the future. I don’t know what their plans are."
Ideally, Wolf said he’d like to sign a long-term deal. Randy Wolf, at a charity golf tournament in Santa Clarita that raises funds for ALS research. Linked via Diamond Leung's blog.

We'll Be Right their as Your "Fall Back Team" Wolfie!
If we don’t offer Wolf arbitration, I think we will all know exactly what type of free agent signings we will be getting this year.
Hopefully we do and he accepts, or re-ups with a short term deal after he can’t find another long term, or signs with a team with the #16 draft choice. Wolf was definitely a great signing and I would love to have him back for another year for that reason.
i would love for wolf to return
but i know it just aint gonna happen..
i would love to have wolf back as well
always fun to route for the hometown boy. his last 3 signings were LAD, SD, LAD – so I think its obvious where he wants to be.
Good luck Mr. Wolf ... go for the gold ...
This might be your last shot at a good multi year deal
Unfortunately, it ain’t happenin with the Dodgers
Speaking of pitchers returning to old teams in the NL West
things we love to hear are “Livan Hernandez” and “D-Backs” in the same sentence
Why would they want to trade him?
not like they have a plethora of starting pitching.
Porcello, Verlander in the rotation
Washburn – FA
Robertson sucks
Bonderman is still trying to come back
Gallaraga blew chunks in the 2nd half
From Baseball HQ on EJ
Jackson took a HUGE step forward in the first half of this year as he showed better location of his pitches, keeping himself out of hitters’ counts. This led to a drop in hits allowed, reflected in his excellent first half WHIP. Sure, he underperformed his xERA by almost two runs, but his xERA still supported a skills growth. Unfortunately, the second half has been a bit of a step back. Jackson’s past control issues have resurfaced and his WHIP has followed suit. Opposing hitters are connecting against him as his line drive rate has risen, and his sub-4.00 ERA again looks driven totally by his fortunate strand rate.
Overall, 2009 should be considered a step up for Jackson, making Detroit look brilliant for taking a chance on the heretofore underachieving youngster. But it appears he has trouble keeping the focus needed to continue at the elite level for an entire season. Jackson is still young, but this is already his 7th season (3rd full season) in the big leagues. Anyone who took a chance on Jackson this year should be thrilled at the production he has provided, but they should also consider benching him for the rest of the year. The last month will not get any easier as the pressure builds on Detroit to make the playoffs. Jackson will make a nice keeper for next year, but he may have run out of gas this year…
Economics, apparently
I’m not willing to include a Top 10 TBLA prospect to get him, though. Hopefully Ned isn’t either.
+100
elbert = future reliever
lindblom=future reliever
eovaldi=future reliever
paul=future 4th outfielder
On second thought, I’d trade Robinson (since he was top 10).
But I’d rather have the 6 years of Elbert/Lindblom/Eovaldi. Even if they’re all future relievers, chances are one of them will become a monster closer.

Wolf is a local guy
so of course he wants to return. I think the Dodgers also would love to have him back but know that he will fetch a price they won’t pay.
Now if that doesn’t happen, they’d have him back in a heart beat.
