Tim Brown: They’ve talked about Halladay trade, but source close to Blue Jays-Dodgers says deal, as of tonight, looks, “highly unlikely.”
Nothing to see here!
Translation: Either Toronto is still making outrageous demands or L.A. is still lowballing.
The problem with rumors that teams are talking is that even if true, they mostly don’t amount to anything.
Ned: Hey new GM guy, what would get you interested in sending Halladay out here?
Toronto GM: Kershaw, Withrow, Gordon, or maybe Billingsley, Withrow, Gordon and A. Miller.
Ned: Hmmm, interesting. (No effin’ way.) I’ll get back to you.
