I know he hasn’t been pitching very long, but I tell you what, I was very surprised and pleased. He commands the ball a lot better than what I expected. Obviously the tools and the ability is there and he’s got to polish some things up—little things—but he’s fun to work with. He’s a bright spot. I’m glad they put him on the mound.

That would be pretty sweet, if just for the potential of him switching positions mid inning to go R-L-R or something.

dream scenario: he comes in with a man on first and no outs, bottom of the 7th with the Dodgers up by 1. He strikes out a righty, then moves to catcher as Kuo enters the game. He throws out the runner trying to steal, but the batter ends up walking and he goes back to pitch to a rhb, striking him out.
Love it
then stays in the game to catch Sherrill and Broxton as they close out the game.

Have to look at the rulebook there
I wonder if he would be allowed to warm up a second time.
No way that would happen in the 7th, that scenario would burn up all three catchers.
heh, i didn’t really think it out obviously, forgot that you’d need another catcher to enter when he went back to the mound.
or
Martin could go to 3rd, then when Kenley goes back to the mound Martin goes back to catch and Belli takes over at 3rd…..
