Around SBN: 2012 Africa Cup Of Nations Final

New Layout Comments

As you may have noticed, the site looked a little bit different this morning, as SB Nation and its member blogs have undergone a system-wide visual change.

We would like to know your thoughts on these changes -- good, bad, or indifferent.  The tech team at SB Nation is very good, and very responsive to requests.  Now is your chance to be heard.  Please let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I hate it and am going to kill myself.

Nah, just kidding, I didn’t even notice a difference until someone pointed it out.

I like it

I prefer the last version though.

I just hope it loads faster

like they promised us. If only we a had a Dodger World Series game thread to test the max.

seems fine

the old one seemed fine as well. Did they figure out the members only poll thingy yet?

by MammothDodger on Nov 3, 2009 12:08 PM PST reply actions

Not a huge change

some stuff looks better in the right sidebar, but that seems to be loading slower than normal, but that will probably be fixed.

Overall can’t say enough good things about this site and what SBN is doing.

Indifferent

All the things I like about SBNation are still here (auto-refresh, “new” comments, etc.) so this change doesn’t bother me at all.

Is there a list of changes? Like can certain members post more than 2 FanPosts per day? Is there a way to unban yourself from a blog? :)

Seems just cosmetic

The line spacing is larger on the home page, so I have to scroll more to get from topic to topic (no big deal).
More importantly “True Blue LA” isn’t very prominent on the home page anymore, and the “Where The Dodger Dogs Are Always Grilled” looks like it’s just hanging out there unattached to anything. Why can’t we have our “True Blue LA” in big letters across the top back, maybe under the ad.

Agree with Dave

The banner ad at the top doesn’t fit in that well, and looks like main focus instead of the actual blog title. Almost like “BofA – Where the Dodger Dogs Are Always Grilled”

Also, there could be more differentiation between the center column with the main content and the panels on the sides with the fanposts and links and things. The page feels very …white.

I noticed the difference

but don’t think it has really improved, i loved how it was, and think this is great too

William Doolittle at your service, a.k.a. will do.

… I guess the big advertising banner pays the bills, but it does look … how to put it kindly… a little on the ugly side. But as long as TBLA is not moved to the LA Times I am happy. :)
