June 2010 Schedule
I was just looking at the schedule for this year. If we faced the top of every rotation in June we could be facing the following pitchers in June of 2010.
Jair Jurgens
Javier Vasquez
John Lackey (I think he'll be an Angel again)
Edwin Volquez
Clay Bucholz
CC Sabbathia
AJ Burnett
Andy Petite
What does this mean? Not a whole lot. I just thought it was pretty crazy. That's 5 different Cy Young winners in one month, one of them who won it twice and a few of the most consistant, best pitchers from the last 10 years that haven't won Cy Young's as well. If only strength of schedule counted for something!
Hopefully the Dodgers won't blow their load in the first 6 weeks of the season again and can pace things out this year, because June will be a tough, tough month.

Sounds like a rough stretch
Look back to 2009, and the Dodgers had a stretch from July 24 to August 25, where they faced these pitchers who were top 15 in the NL in FIP:
1) Lincecum (once)
2) Vazquez (once)
3) Carpenter (twice)
4) Johnson (once)
6) Wainwright (twice)
7) Haren (once)
8) Pineiro (once)
13) Lilly (once)
14) Jurrjens (twice)
15) Hammel (once)
That’s 13 times in a 31-game stretch facing the top 15 pitchers in the league.
To both of you
I remember that stretch – and that was where I was going with pacing things out – it seemed like we hit a rough patch right before that started
Yep
including 2-11 in those 13 games mentioned above.
