Dodgers Week One In Review
Sure they probably should have won in San Diego on Thursday, but a 4-3 intradivisional road trip can't be thought of as anything but a success. Think of it this way: if the Dodgers keep going 4-3, that's a 92-93 win pace.
Dodger Batter of the Week: Matt Kemp, who hit .375/.385/.583 with a home run and a stolen base, and has a seven-game hitting streak
Dodger Pitcher of the Week: Ronald "Pumpkinhead" Belisario, who made his major league debut with 4.2 innings of making batters look silly, allowing three baserunners while striking out eight.
Week 1 Record: 4-3; 32 runs scored, 23 runs allowed (.659 pythagorean winning percentage)
Upcoming Week: six games at home; three against the Giants followed by three with the Rockies
Monday is the home opener at Dodger Stadium against the Giants, with Chad Billingsley facing off with ageless wonder Randy Johnson. Game time is 1:10pm, but the gates will open at 10:40am. Pregame ceremonies, which will include the amazing Vin Scully throwing out the first pitch, begin at 12:35pm.

Woah woah woah
Where is this “pumpkinhead” coming from?

Pretty sure
it was coined by Underdog over on Dodger Thoughts.

Oh
Is there a particular reason? Its not exactly intimidating.

It's nearly literal
he just thought his oddly shaped head looked like a pumpkin. :)

Oh okay haha.
I have to say I don’t think I’ll be using that one much. :-)

I agree, I would put that one to rest.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
I had to get it at least a mention
since it cracked me up the other day
