Withrow soars, Lindblom crashes - Minor League Update 4/22/09
Chris Withrow bounced back from a tough 2nd outing to strikeout 10 hitters in only five innings of work, while his counterpart Josh Lindblom was blasted for the first time in his professional career.
Isotopes:
Trounced 9 - 1 with nothing good or interesting to report.
Chattanooga Lookouts:
The offense came alive as they scored eight runs but Josh Lindblom put the game out of reach when he was shellacked to the tune of seven runs in the 9 - 8 loss. Jamie Hoffman hit a grand slam for the big hit of the day. Brent Leach pitched two excellent innings and is now sporting a miniscule 0.93 ERA.
Inland Empire 66ers
Chris Withrow may have lost the game but he won the war. Pitching five excellent innings of three hit ball, he dominated the game with 10 strikeouts. Van Slyke contributed four hits including a double/triple but it wasn't enough offense to support Withrow as the 66ers fall 4 - 3.

Withrow & Martin
It’s great to have elite starting pitching in the low minors again. These guys are strikeout beasts.
Plus Elbert and Lindblom
With Billz, Kershaw and McDonald already there, the future of the rotation looks pretty exciting.
