Chad Billingsley Cy Young 2009

Alright
I can live with him staying in. Torre wants the Billz/Broxton bridge again. The way the middle relief has been, I don’t know if i blame him.
It sucks having Billz lead off though.
by Brendan Scolari on Apr 28, 2009 9:50 PM PDT reply actions
I’m ok with it for now, as long as someone is warming and ready to go should anything happen. Billz is young, but 99 pitches through 7 is not too bad. If he was closer to 105, 110, I’d be extremely pissed.

I imagine Tron will be the first to come in, unless there is a lefty up.

Torre has to start putting some confidence in his relievers
It just won’t work this way in the long run. If Billz gets into even the slightest trouble in the 8th, he needs to be pulled.

how about thinking positively letting things play out before starting the doom and gloom worst case scenarios?
And yes, Broxton 8 Kuo 9 would make sense if Kuo hadn’t publicly expressed self doubt
Not doom and gloom

I wanted
I wanted to see Kemp try to score on that last ball in the dirt. If Molina would’ve tossed the ball to Howery covering the plate, Bison would’ve trucked him into the backstop.
Typical San Francisco
Make fun of Dodger fans leaving early, but they always leave early when the Giants are losing.
by Brendan Scolari on Apr 28, 2009 10:37 PM PDT reply actions
Giants fans are horrible
At least Dodgers fans know the game. Traffic just sucks. Giants fans tend to go just because. many have no idea about baseball.

Still bothering me...
Casey got a tailor-made 5-2-3 groundball, but he didn’t take a step to his left to create a throwing lane. A good throw and we’re out of the inning with Billz’s 5th win still on the books.

Such an exciting game, and Padma!!!! I’ll be here tomorrow, guaranteeing a boring game (hopefully to the good). :)
Stults vs Lincecum is a huge mismatch on paper... but today we overcame -
- Raffy, O-Dog & Martin go 0 for 13 & Torre still manages us to victory. Now an impressive 14 – 7 with 1 more extremely tough one (the Cy guy) on the road and then it’s Home Sweet Home. This could be the year we’ve been waiting for since 1988…I wouldn’t bet against Manny, ’Dre, Raffy, O-Dog, Loney, Kemp, Brox, Bills or even a few of our kid pichers coming around by the end of summer. ’09 Dodgers will go very very far. (imho)
