Lincecum, Molina Send Dodgers Home On A Sour Note
- Too much Lincecum (until the 8th)
- Too many Bengie Molina triples (1)
- Too little, too late on the Dodger rally
The one positive was that the Dodgers managed to turn a hopeless 7-0 game against the reigning Cy Young winner into a kinda-sorta-might-have-a-chance with an 8th inning rally. But the Giants held on to win 9-4, sending the Dodgers home after a 4-5 road trip.
James McDonald will pitch against Josh Geer and the Padres tomorrow night at 7:10.

Pathetic attempt to match the comments in the gamethreads I put up. ;-)
Apparently I just can’t go to Giants-Dodgers games anymore. It just never works out.

Or that
Good pitching beats bad pitching. We did score four runs, which isn’t terrible.

Ethier
Swinging at the first pitch – with the bases loaded – and a new pitcher on the mound.
Result: Double play.
Then Loney works the count and draws a walk.
Ouch.
