Fan's Unfortunate Experience Catching Chris Coghlan's First Home Run
Not Dodger-related, just a very interesting story from the fan who caught Florida Marlins' rookie Chris Coghlan's first home run. The fan's blog details his experiences grabbing over 775 balls at major league games.

Agreed.
I won’t be rooting for him any time soon.

I guess you probably had to be there to really know what went on, but this fan does seem pretty wierd. I mean what grown-up travels to baseball games to collect balls? That’s like going to a birthday party for a five year old, and then when someone busts the pinata, diving in and snagging as much candy as possible away from the kids. If a ball lands near you and you can snag it… then great. But collecting dozens of balls per game? 2nd star to the right and straight on til morning buddy. And yes, he did hold the ball hostage, even if all he wanted were two bats and the ball authenticated for some odd reason.

Agreed as well.
It is definitely odd. At the very least I wouldn’t keep more than one ball. There’s certainly no reason to keep 10. Although if the fan is telling the truth than I think Chris Coghlan’s behavior was pretty ridiculous too.

That's a good recap
The whole recap made it sound unsavory, and I couldn’t decide who was more unsavory.
