Eric Milton To Make All-Important Dodger History Saturday
The Dodgers will make history on Saturday, they start a pitcher named Eric for the second straight game, against Florida. Eric Milton's first start as a Dodger follows Eric Stults' 21st.
Milton will become the fifth pitcher named Eric in the 126-year history of Dodger baseball, joining Stults, Eric Gagne (48 starts), Eric Hull (0 starts), and Eric Weaver (0 starts).
In addition to the now five Dodger pitchers named Eric, there have been four batters: Eric Anthony, Eric Davis, Eric Karros, and Eric Young.

Eric - Are you sure Eric is starting Saturday? I just checked the weather report : )
LA… 25-12 in PIERREVILLE (*…not the town in Quebec.)
SF…… 18-17 6 (& dropping)
CO….. .14-20 9 1/2
SD…… 14-22 10 1/2 (Peavy – July 31?)
AZ…….. 13-23 11 1/2 ( ! )
*I’m sure everyone knows what Pierreville, Quebec is famous for. ; )
Torre finally commented on why Milton was brought up
“It’s certainly not ideal to have four left-handers in the starting rotation,” Torre said. “There would be some managers that would kill for two. I just like [Milton’s] makeup.”
Thanks, Joe.
C'mon, man...
you know the cliche routine. You can’t possibly expect something incredibly meaningful to come out of locker room interviews, right?

I knew what was coming
just didn’t know what the variation of it was.
Anyway, he’s got a lot to prove tomorrow, that’s for sure.
He doesn’t have a lot to prove. If he does what Stults did yesterday they will be happy. No one is expecting much from him, just pitch 5-6 innings, put up an ERA of 4.40 – 4.80 and not walk the opposing pitcher.

Should've clarified
He’s got a lot to prove TO ME. I’m probably expecting worse results than anyone on this blog.
