I'm really starting to like Kyle Russell.
He should be an exciting prospect to watch.

He's really old for his leauge though.
I hope the Dodgers are aggressive with him, and move him to double-A.
Agreed.
I just like big sluggers in general, so I’m really rooting for him.

Slacker
you get us used to the format and then pull it away. If you can’t do weekends, let me know, we can find somebody to do the weekends. I like the format, so I’d like to see something everyday, just let us know when you can’t do a day.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Haha
My bad, I was working the baseball regionals out here in Tempe and got swamped there. Should be good to go now.
I’ve been to almost every ASU game so I have a pretty good handle on the team. Mike Leake was Mike Leake, he has been outstanding all year. He doesn’t have lights out “stuff” but his command and consistency is unmatched. We don’t have a prayer at drafting him and I’m crossing my fingers the Dbacks don’t get a chance at him with their back to back picks.
ASU’s second best draft eligible guy is a CF Jason Kipnis. Most seem to think he’s not a CF at the next level but he makes nice plays in the OF every weekend. Perhaps its one of those things that a spectacular play in the OF by Kipnis is good play by a better CF. Anyways at the dish he has great command of the zone. He walks a lot as is typical of ASU’s teams. He’ll probably be a 2nd or 3rd rounder, I don’t think we’d take him. Dodgers tend to favor toolsy players and Kipnis isn’t really that type of guy. A team that is very Saber based will value him more (As, Padres, Red Sox).
There’s a catcher named Carlos Ramirez who can hit. Good offensive numbers and he’s durable, played in every game this season. He’s a bad body catcher but he can hit so he’s one to keep an eye on. Dodgers seem to favor the conversion route though rather than drafting straight up catchers.
