four homeruns in a row

that will give ESPN something to talk about

by BillyAshley on May 7, 2009 10:23 PM PDT reply actions

Speaking of which

I recorded the 4+ game yesterday. I’ve watched the 9th and 10th innings twice and both times I had chills running down my spine. ;-)

Again

pretty tired of Guzman…he’s becoming Hawpian to me

by Eric Stephen on May 7, 2009 10:29 PM PDT up reply actions

He's not that bad.

Hawpe’s got like 17 HR’s against us.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:30 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah I know

but in performance to talent ratio, they are the same :)

by Eric Stephen on May 7, 2009 10:31 PM PDT up reply actions

Ah

At least Guzman is a good fielder, Hawpe is beyond abysmal in right.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:32 PM PDT up reply actions

Oh man...

That wasn’t even a strike.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:29 PM PDT reply actions

To be fair

Ronnie Belliard looks like mini-Manny, so maybe the Nats were confused at first. We should have capitalized

I just want

Loney and Martin with a chance to go back to back #1s

by Eric Stephen on May 7, 2009 10:36 PM PDT reply actions

believe.

I watched wells give up 8 runs in 1/3 of an inning at coors field.

by BoulderDodger on May 7, 2009 10:37 PM PDT reply actions

I remember that game.

Hopefully we’ll get some flashbacks tonight.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:39 PM PDT up reply actions

The best part about that

is that to find that game I did a search of Kip Wells games giving up 7+ runs. There were 17 such games!

by Eric Stephen on May 7, 2009 10:40 PM PDT up reply actions

Another ball

Per Gameday but probably too close to take.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:37 PM PDT reply actions

I got a fever

and the only prescription is a Loney Bomb

by trainwreck84 on May 7, 2009 10:41 PM PDT reply actions

Yeah, about that

you might want some Penicillin too :)

Prime Ticket

tried a jinx with the graphic :)

Nice

“Better Days” by Springsteen playing at the stadium

by Eric Stephen on May 7, 2009 10:47 PM PDT reply actions

9 runs, 14 hits?

That’s good enough to win.

by Tripon on May 7, 2009 10:47 PM PDT reply actions

the highs and lows of a baseball fan

at least no one will be talking about how the dodgers lack offense without manny…

by BoulderDodger on May 7, 2009 10:47 PM PDT reply actions   1 recs

but now pitching is a concern

hopefully we can just reel off 7 straight again.. starting by sweeping those odd folk in SF.

by MaxDSterling on May 7, 2009 10:49 PM PDT reply actions

I love it

On CSN Bay Area (or whatever it’s called now) they ask “Could this be the start of a Dodger meltdown?” Hilarious.

I hope Zito gets destroyed tomorrow.

by Brendan Scolari on May 7, 2009 10:55 PM PDT reply actions   1 recs

thats exactly what they call it

and they have to worst announcers, the giants suck, and GO BLUE

by Big Blue on May 7, 2009 10:56 PM PDT up reply actions

Assuming the Dodgers play .500 ball for the rest of the season

they would finish with 87 wins.

For the Giants to win 88 games this season they’d have to play .548 ball the rest of the way.

What a game

I see Milton threw six more shutout innings. Must be driving SilverWidow crazy.

Anyway based on what Ned was saying last night have to believe Milton will be getting the call very soon or they will have to let him go.

Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
