Jason Kendall?

Brewer fans are stuffing the box?

Nice to see Ibanez getting recognition for his incredible year so far. Would like to see those Manny votes headed for Beltran or Upton.

I wonder if these releases

have a “precincts reporting” type of feel to it. This week a number of Phillies made leaps; I wonder if it’s just because last week happened to be the week they got around to getting to the manual ballots from the ballpark in Philly.

Then again, online voting seems fairly common; I wonder what percentage of votes comes from online.

Interesting

That would explain why the Brewers are so high.

by Brendan Scolari on Jun 1, 2009 2:22 PM PDT up reply actions

It seems so.

All of the Brewers’ starters are near the top of the voting.

by Brendan Scolari on Jun 1, 2009 2:22 PM PDT up reply actions

I know this is a Dodgers Blog but

Brian McCann at 4?? That is just nonsense. The dude is hitting 318/422/514—- and he was practically blind at the beginning fo the season and struggling.

by Michael White on Jun 1, 2009 2:22 PM PDT reply actions

Agreed.

McCann is the best catcher in the NL, I think there is little doubt about that.

by Brendan Scolari on Jun 1, 2009 2:23 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah

McCann is far and away the best catcher in the NL right now.

Shocking what research finds

Marco Scutaro has the 2nd highest EQA among all shortstops. I knew he was having a good year but I didn’t know it was that good. Interesting odds that Barlett and Scutaro would be 1 and 2 on June 1st.

I would have lost a lot of money.

I’d probably be in debt for a long time if someone offered me that bet.

by Brendan Scolari on Jun 1, 2009 2:56 PM PDT up reply actions

Dodgers I'd like to see make the team.

1. Hudson
2. Billingsley
3. Broxton
4. Blake(3rd in the NL in EQA) but I expect Chipper to get that nod with Wright and Zimmerman the givens.

I think with the best record in baseball at the all-star game we will get three spots if they keep on producing.

Depending on which pitchers are available to pitch (i.e. didn’t start the Sunday before the AS game) Wolf might get a nod, assuming he starts getting some decisions. :)

But I realize he’s a longshot.

I’d be happy with those three or four.

by Eric Stephen on Jun 1, 2009 2:42 PM PDT up reply actions

Even more amazing

guess which RF has the highest EQA in all of baseball without looking it up. He was not a regular last year and he’s not really a regular this year but he’s been playing all over but RF has seen the most action.
He’s a big reason why my roto team is in first place by 29 points on June 1st. A $1 dollar end game that has paid off.

Clete Thomas?

That’s my off the wall guess

No - not enough at bats to qualify anyway

I just looked it up

nice pull for your fantasy team.

by Eric Stephen on Jun 1, 2009 2:58 PM PDT up reply actions

between him and a 1$ Scott Hairston I’ve had a blessed year even with Weeks going down for the year. Three weeks ago I traded Josh Hamilton/Phil Hughes for Chris Carpenter/Manny. It was a gamble but I think it is going to work out. I’ve been the biggest money winner over the last ten years but have never ever won the trophy. I’m hoping to change that this year. My only Dodgers right now are Kershaw/Manny.

Argh!

I should have known. I couldn’t think of anyone to guess, but I had just seen that he was doing really well.

by Brendan Scolari on Jun 1, 2009 4:09 PM PDT up reply actions

When you look at his history prior to 2008 it is even more amazing. Hate to say it, but this is when I’d be doing some testing.
