Elbert
Speaking of Elbert, I anticipate we’ll see him back in Los Angeles before the year (barring an injury). The question is as a starter or as a reliever. I hope his future is ultimately as a starter, but does anyone think he could be a Kuo like reliever this year? While I don’t think he’ll be effective as Kuo, he could be a weapon for Joe coming out of the pen.
Lefties are batting just .145 against him and he has a 29:3 K:BB ratio against them.

Agreed.
I don’t think he’ll get any starts in the majors this year, Torre won’t trust him.

Can't say that I do.
Hard to get coverage of the teams in the Dominican. Baseball America doens’t really cover it.

Canuck talked about Bladimir Franco
last year on DT. Said he was supposed to be the best player on the team but as I recall he didn’t do much except strike out. Based on first inning it looks like he’s starting to live upto the promise that Canuck was talking about. I’ll do something on him soon.
