Manny Ramirez will begin his rehab at Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday. The plan is for him to play three games there, take a day off to travel to California, and then play four games with High-A Inland Empire.

However, manager Joe Torre said he did not know Manny's plans beyond Tuesday. "The only thing I know for sure is that he agreed to be there". Torre also added, "It's just a matter of competing. Do I think he could play without embarrassing himself? Yes. But it's best just to play games and get acclimated. I think that's important. He doesn't need to put up numbers."
