Manny Ramirez & The Upcoming Dodger Timetable
The full rehabilitation schedule for Manny Ramirez has finally been confirmed by Joe Torre, and thanks to some notes and schedule updates from both Bill Shaikin of the LA Times and Ken Gurnick of MLB.com, here's a look at the Dodgers upcoming schedule of events:

Eric Milton will be activated from the disabled list on Saturday to start against the Mariners. I would imagine A.J. Ellis is the leading candidate to be sent down to make room on the roster for Milton.
Claudio Vargas began his rehabilitation assignment on June 2, and per terms of the collective bargaining agreement his assignment must last only 30 days. That 30 days ends on July 1, so Vargas will need to be activated on July 2. The club may also release Vargas or ask his consent to send him to the minors, but that seems unlikely. Shaikin tells us, "Torre said Vargas would be used in the same way Jeff Weaver is, as a long reliever and spot starter." Once Vargas is recalled, the likely candidates to be removed from the roster are James McDonald (likely), Cory Wade (slightly less likely), or Guillermo Mota (unlikely).

It would be neat
if the Dodgers gave AJ Ellis at least an at bat tomorrow at some point, given the early game time, too. I guess it depends on the score. Or an at bat on Friday at least. Throw the kid a frickin’ bone! (said in Dr. Evil voice)
I still hope they’re not serious about Vargas, but I guess it’s not worth worrying about. Milton I’m fine with, Weaver has his place. But spare us Vargas, please? Ah well. It’ll all sort itself out.

I hope so too
By my unofficial count, Ellis has been with the club for 11 games in total, and has yet to see even an inning of play. I would imagine this weekend at home might be more likely for him to get some PT, although I guess it could just be whenever there is a blowout.
Maybe Matt Kemp’s 3-run shot in the 8th prevented Ellis’s 2009 debut tonight…

That seems likely to me. Good call.

Isotopes still playing in the 14th
Vargas could help in middle relief, I don’t have a problem with him. Couldn’t do any worse then Corey Wade who I think I was defending just a short time ago.

Loney sits tomorrow; Ausmus to catch
Per Bill Shaikin:
Torre said Mark Loretta would play first base and Brad Ausmus would catch today, with Martin at DH and Loney off

With today's being the last one called by Collins/Lyons until after the halfway pt
Here’s the records of games by TV announcers
33-16 Vin Scully (remember he has home game and the only road games are NL West and Angels)
8-7 Eric Collins/Steve Lyons
3-1 Fox (National/Regional) Saturday Baseball
2-1 ESPN Sunday Night Baseball
1-0 MLB Network Thursday Night Baseball

That’s a pretty good record for Collins and Lyons considering they only get road games outside of the division. Logically you would think the Dodgers would struggle playing road games 2 or 3 timezones away. Over .500, I’ll take it.
