Is playing catch with Stan Conte just in front of the Dodger dugout. It’s just soft toss, maybe 50 feet apart. KMnky is making very slow, deliberate throws, just working on his range of motion.

Strange to see Ethier batting 2nd

And I could’ve sworn Blake would be off today.

Eric

you picked a great game to be in the press box shade. Best part of Sunday Day games are the lack of clothes on those that wear them well.

I see

we still have Out Maker extraordinaire Martin batting AHEAD of Kemp. For cryin’ out loud …

I predict that on Friday

Matt Kemp will be the new Casey Blake (he will bat 8th)

Eric is going to grill Joe today

about Martin and Kemp like a cheese sandwich.

by meercatjohn on Jun 28, 2009 11:58 AM PDT reply actions

I don't know about that meercatjohn

but it will be interesting to see what happens. But based on how Blake has done since moving there, I can see a rotation of Blake and Ethier in the 4th spot and 5th spot.

I’ve noticed that Joe just shrugs off lineup order questions. He was asked why Ethier is hitting 2nd today, and he joked that it was so we “wouldn’t ask him why Ethier was hitting so low.”

best line ups:

Vs right handed pitchers
Furcal
Hudson
Ethier
Manny
Blake
Loney
Kemp
Martin
Pitcher

vs Left handed
Furcal
Hudson
Ethier
Manny
Kemp
Blake
Loney
Martin
Pitcher

I also wouldnt wind switching martin and Furcal around because martin can get on base at a better clip then furcal and now has really the same speed
