Pitching Staff Usage Chart
With Eric's article about the lack of a need for 13 pitchers, it would probably be nice to see exactly how our pitchers have been used lately. If you are interested here's a chart showing how the pitching staff has been used (including pitch counts) over the past two weeks after the jump.
| 5/21 No Game | 5/22 vs. Angels | 5/23 vs. Angels | 5/24 vs. Angels | 5/25 vs. Rockies | 5/26 vs. Rockies | 5/27 vs. Rockies | 5/28 vs. Cubs | 5/29 vs. Cubs | 5/30 vs. Cubs | 5/31 vs. Cubs | 6/1 vs. D-Backs | 6/2 vs. D-Backs | 6/3 vs. D-Backs | |

| Broxton | 30 | 38 | 12 | 15 | 12 |
It looks to me like the Dodgers would be just fine with only 7 relievers. No one really looks overworked over the past two weeks, although Ramon Troncoso and Ronald Belisario have both been worked pretty hard. Troncoso, Belisario, and Brent Leach lead the Dodgers with 6 appearances over the last two weeks. The Dodgers have had 39 relief appearances over the last 13 games for an average of 3 relief appearances per game.

No, not THAT one. There’s another guy (38 year old) that Logan White just signed who’s putting up elite K rates in AAA. Perhaps a bullpen piece later this year?
He's certainly putting up a sparkling K/BB ratio.
21/4 in 12.2 innings. One thing to not (really small sample size) but he does have a 0.42 GO/AO ratio, and has allowed 2 home runs already. I’d love to see a scouting report.

Is everything elite?
Does Hu have elite defense?
Does McDonald have an elite flyball potential?
Does Dee Brown have elite AAAA prowess?
Sorry
I’m confused as to what point you’re trying to make.

Does this make Silverwidow an Elitist?

You stole my chart! :)
How much would a fifth bench player have been used in this period?
Indeed he did
but Brendan does not read DT, so this must be a case of great minds thinking alike. I was a bit worried when I saw it.

Did I?
I am really sorry if I did. I can assure you I didn’t copy any chart, I just took the numbers down from the box scores.
I just checked DT, but I still don’t see it. But anyways, do you want me to delete this one?

I think you are safe.
Brendan, I think Jon used that chart a couple of times, the last time was in the last week or so.
Did no one see my smiley face?
The smiley face must be respected :)
