so, overall, how did kemp do as far as all star voting? http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090709&content_id=5787776&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb no mention of the final numbers except for the winners

i voted like a million times for him… what about the guy from the angels? No Figgins

did the west coast get anyone else in there? The Dodgers have Hudson, Billingsley, Broxton, and Kemp should make it as a replacement for Beltran who was voted in but is hurt and unable to play.

does manny get to play in that home run derby? No

how long does matt’s contract run?Year to year, he’s under our control for a while

ethier’s? arbitration eligible, still under our control

will they extend manny’s contract again?player option for 20M(is that right Eric) Who knows what he will do

what about weaver? Weaver is day to day

wow

how do you know all that? (sigh) still have lots to learn.. and im REALLY having a hard time reading that book about scully “pull up a chair”… anyone read it?

I passed on that book

Vin has never authorized a biography, and this particular book just seemed to be pieced together from a bunch of items already published anywhere.

vin

yeah its unauthorized and i can see why…. it kinda sucks.. theres some pertinent info but its so rambling and wordy and hard to follow…. i write books and read alot and this, im sorry to say, isnt too great…

One other thing

Eric keeps a list of the estimated payroll through 2011 and all sorts of contract information here:

It's linked on the TBLA front page

on the right side, just below where all the salaries are listed.

Or this one

Sandy Koufax
A brilliant book that chronicles his career with each chapter being one inning of his perfect game.

Bernadette - when you titled this post

Were you having a premonition about tonight’s game?

by David Young on Jul 10, 2009 9:00 PM PDT reply actions

premonition

lol nope….but it was a great day… and we close on our new home 7/20 so we were sitting on r tinyass balcony thinking woohoo! dodgers win, lots HR’s and 2wks from today we should be sitting on the balcony off the master after a (skinny)dip in the hot tub :)

by BernadetteP on Jul 10, 2009 9:14 PM PDT reply actions

Congratulations on the house

That first one is a huge step, never forgotten. As for the hot tub, isn’t that how all us Southern Californians roll?

by David Young on Jul 11, 2009 12:16 PM PDT up reply actions

Hmmm

Don’t know why I assumed from your comment it’s the first. In any case, every one is big step, and congratulations are still in order.

"MVP Kemp"

After last night’s performance, I do see an MVP
 in our centerfielder’s future ;)
