Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen

by Phil Gurnee on Jul 10, 2009 8:05 PM PDT reply actions

Is this the worst game of the year so far?

For the Dodgers?

Obviously an awful start for Billinsgley, but it this the Dodgers worst played game overall this year?

by backtocali on Jul 10, 2009 8:06 PM PDT reply actions

I doubt it

Surely there were some losses that weren’t even close.

by David Young on Jul 10, 2009 8:07 PM PDT up reply actions

Casey brings the old legs of Manny home

Beard!!!!!

This is one of my favorite games of the year for some reason.

by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:08 PM PDT reply actions

I know. Even though my favorite player had a sub par outing. This has been enjoyable.

by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:10 PM PDT up reply actions

Juan Pierre will be running.

by Rolex on Jul 10, 2009 8:09 PM PDT reply actions

IBB for Pierre?

That’s stupid.

Martin is more likely to hit a sac fly.

by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:09 PM PDT reply actions

and after the SB

do they walk the next batter too?

If I were the Brewers

I’d consider pitching to JP with the infield in.

by David Young on Jul 10, 2009 8:11 PM PDT up reply actions

gotta let that go foul

by Rolex on Jul 10, 2009 8:11 PM PDT reply actions

Bill Hall will be released by year end

Any team will be able to pick him up for nothing and the Brewers will have to pay whats left on his salary.

by backtocali on Jul 10, 2009 8:12 PM PDT reply actions

I liked Bill Hall

what a fall from grace ever since they tried to move him to CF he’s been crap even after they brought him back to the infield.

Torii Hunter

would’ve fielded that ground ball and got a double play.

Nah, he's been okay this year. Just a bad outing

Hes had a very rough late June/early July

Hes not very good under pressure. As the closer he stunk this year before Hoffman came back, and about 3 times in the last week has given up games.

Too bad he’s a number eight…. nm

Can we sign Kemp to a lifetime contract?

How was Kemp passed on the All Star game, not once but twice.

Isn’t this his 3rd 3 hit game in a row?

Ethier, Loney, Martin, Kemp, and Manny.

Manny and the “kids”. Fuck yeah.

Have we hit five home runs in a game this year before tonight?

Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen

by Phil Gurnee on Jul 10, 2009 8:23 PM PDT reply actions

Nope

Last time was Sept. 18, 2006. Collins actually referred it as the “4+1” game. As you can imagine, Jon is giddy at the moment.

by Nofatmike on Jul 10, 2009 8:26 PM PDT up reply actions

How Bison isn’t an All Star doesn’t make sense to me, and it never will unless they add him to team.

He is having the best position player season on the NL’s most dominant team, and yet we can’t send him to St. Louis.

by Bison27 on Jul 10, 2009 8:26 PM PDT reply actions

Charlie Manuel doesn’t agree.

Don’t really understand what Broxton is doing here in a 6 run game

What ..

the hell? Tied 5-5 I get nervous so I go to walk the dog. Go to the store. Come back,

by Phil Gurnee on Jul 10, 2009 8:50 PM PDT up reply actions

Troncoso got his 3rd win.

In his own quiet way, he has become the best Dodgers reliever. We might have a controversy on our hands.

by Tripon on Jul 10, 2009 8:49 PM PDT reply actions

The Broxton we know and love

has disappeared for now. Where’d he go?

by silverwidow on Jul 10, 2009 8:50 PM PDT up reply actions

well...

he hasn’t blown any close games yet. maybe it’s mental. once he gets in a close game he could be fine

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:51 PM PDT up reply actions

we've got a lot of candidates for that...

Troncoso, Belisario, Mota have all made a push lately. And obviously Broxton

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:50 PM PDT up reply actions

I just want Belsario to take his time, get right and not rush it. And call cabs.

But, god the Padres suck.

understatement of the year…

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:54 PM PDT up reply actions

From mlb.com's home page

“Matt Kemp smacked a grand slam in the Dodgers’ six-run 10th, then made an amazing catch to end the game.”

publicity!

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:51 PM PDT reply actions

still can’t believe he’s not an all star. If there’s a roster spot due to injury it’s a no- brainer.

by Pedro's curse on Jul 10, 2009 8:54 PM PDT reply actions

Talking about the Ryan Church play against us

Geez it was just one play – you trade a guy over one play? Isn’t he like a Chad Curtis in the clubhouse?

by meercatjohn on Jul 10, 2009 8:57 PM PDT reply actions

Mr Burns

pitching for the Brewers tomorrow. I wonder if he needs early relief help if they will go to Homer?

by Xeifrank on Jul 10, 2009 9:00 PM PDT reply actions

lets make this the August contest too

then September, and…let’s say October too

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 9:06 PM PDT up reply actions

Manny

just changes the complexity of this lineup. It was like that in the begining of the year.
This team is exciting, but I still worry about our staring pitching …

by Pedro's curse on Jul 10, 2009 9:11 PM PDT up reply actions

i don't

i mean, i think the derby would be awesome, but I don’t want him to start swinging for the fences all the time. he’s just starting to become a complete hitter

by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 9:21 PM PDT up reply actions

Hate the Giants. But gotta respect that pitching

by Pedro's curse on Jul 10, 2009 9:26 PM PDT up reply actions
