Is this the worst game of the year so far?
For the Dodgers?
Obviously an awful start for Billinsgley, but it this the Dodgers worst played game overall this year?
I answered you in the last thread
but to sum up.
No

Casey brings the old legs of Manny home
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
You kidding, this is a great game, you don't more fun then this if it ends with a W
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
I know. Even though my favorite player had a sub par outing. This has been enjoyable.
by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:10 PM PDT up reply actions
Manny must have been running from the start. If Mike catches that he's done
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Torii Hunter would have caught it and thrown him out
with how he’s played against us this year
What the fuck is Bill Hall thinking?
Thanks dumbass
they dont really believe in defense
Period.
Although Randolph has done a very good job improving the infield defense this year.
Bill Hall will be released by year end
Any team will be able to pick him up for nothing and the Brewers will have to pay whats left on his salary.
I liked Bill Hall
what a fall from grace ever since they tried to move him to CF he’s been crap even after they brought him back to the infield.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Nah, he's been okay this year. Just a bad outing

Hes had a very rough late June/early July
Hes not very good under pressure. As the closer he stunk this year before Hoffman came back, and about 3 times in the last week has given up games.
Bison Bomb
Eric predicted with a text that the Bison would hit a home run in the 9th and had to settle for the surprising but sweet bunt. I’m sure he’d take a Bison Bomb right now

Kemp does lead all NL outfielders in value :o
by Chad Moriyama on Jul 10, 2009 8:19 PM PDT up reply actions
So?
For one, so does Kemp.
And 2. Why is a strike out so much worse than any other out?
by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:31 PM PDT up reply actions
because when you hit the ball, there's a chance for a hit/error
when you K, nothing good happens
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:33 PM PDT up reply actions
Do you think Ibanez is going?
maybe manuel is not an ass and he is picking werth because ibanez is gonna rest.
so maybe kemp got a chance?
Kemp with the FU to Cholly Manual

Have we hit five home runs in a game this year before tonight?
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
Nope
Last time was Sept. 18, 2006. Collins actually referred it as the “4+1” game. As you can imagine, Jon is giddy at the moment.
Once he's fully warmed
He’s as good as used. Might as well throw the inning; you’re not really saving anything.
He needs work
I want tos ee him bounce back

How Bison isn’t an All Star doesn’t make sense to me, and it never will unless they add him to team.
He is having the best position player season on the NL’s most dominant team, and yet we can’t send him to St. Louis.
Our all-star pitchers less then impressive tonight. The only negative of the game.
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
What ..
the hell? Tied 5-5 I get nervous so I go to walk the dog. Go to the store. Come back,
Dodgers up by six…. I’m starting to believe in these guys.

You think Manny is off tomorrow or Sunday?
Patience is for those who die waiting for something to happen
I hope tomorrow
Were gonna need him vs Gallardo
by SeanMillerSavior on Jul 10, 2009 8:38 PM PDT up reply actions
I agree
plus hopefully Dodgers win tonight and tomorrow and Torre will throw out a classic house money lineup Sunday

I hope Manuel doesn't use him in St. Louis - I want home field.

Sanchez with a no no thru five in his first game back from the bullpen
Last thing we want is for him to get his game going.

the Padres have been no-hit through 5 in two straight games…

Troncoso got his 3rd win.
In his own quiet way, he has become the best Dodgers reliever. We might have a controversy on our hands.
well...
he hasn’t blown any close games yet. maybe it’s mental. once he gets in a close game he could be fine
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:51 PM PDT up reply actions
we've got a lot of candidates for that...
Troncoso, Belisario, Mota have all made a push lately. And obviously Broxton
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:50 PM PDT up reply actions
I just want Belsario to take his time, get right and not rush it. And call cabs.

Sandoval with another home run
also not on the all-star team. NL missing some good players

But, god the Padres suck.
understatement of the year…

and of course
they did it right AFTER they played us…

From mlb.com's home page
“Matt Kemp smacked a grand slam in the Dodgers’ six-run 10th, then made an amazing catch to end the game.”
publicity!
His buddy Ariza left town, he's going to become a Clipper fan
I’m going to bring him a shirt next time I’m in the clubhouse

Well Kemp is from the same state as the new PF in town
by Michael White on Jul 10, 2009 8:56 PM PDT up reply actions
i dunno he was pretty pumped to see Kobe...
good luck converting him :)
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:56 PM PDT up reply actions
still can’t believe he’s not an all star. If there’s a roster spot due to injury it’s a no- brainer.
it's been mentioned tonight...
but maybe Manuel doesn’t expect Ibanez to play, and Kemp would be his replacement.
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 8:55 PM PDT up reply actions
Torre would casually mention it I’m sure
by Pedro's curse on Jul 10, 2009 9:02 PM PDT up reply actions
Talking about the Ryan Church play against us
Geez it was just one play – you trade a guy over one play? Isn’t he like a Chad Curtis in the clubhouse?
Mr Burns
pitching for the Brewers tomorrow. I wonder if he needs early relief help if they will go to Homer?
vr, Xei
Since this month's "Clogging the Bases" contest started
The Dodgers have scored the first run in every game.
lets make this the August contest too
then September, and…let’s say October too
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 9:06 PM PDT up reply actions
Manny
just changes the complexity of this lineup. It was like that in the begining of the year.
This team is exciting, but I still worry about our staring pitching …
by Pedro's curse on Jul 10, 2009 9:11 PM PDT up reply actions
i don't
i mean, i think the derby would be awesome, but I don’t want him to start swinging for the fences all the time. he’s just starting to become a complete hitter
by bucknellbruin on Jul 10, 2009 9:21 PM PDT up reply actions
I have texted every Giants' fan I know multiple times
Reminding them about the no-no
Hate the Giants. But gotta respect that pitching
