Matt Kemp, Where Amazing Happens

A couple days after losing the MLB Final Vote and being snubbed by Charlie Manuel, Matt Kemp is showing the nation where amazing happens. Though he isn't an elite player just yet, Kemp has been playing on an impressive and all-star caliber level for the past week.

Just to illustrate how much of a tear Kemp is actually on, here is what Kemp has been doing on the roadtrip: He has a 7-game hitting streak, batting .556 (15-27) with 1HR and 9 RBIs. Also, Kemp has 5 multi-hit games during the roadtrip. In the past 3 games, he has gotten 9 hits in 12 official at-bats (.750).

Tonight, Kemp went 3 for 5 with a grand slam in the top of 10th, which proved to be the difference in the game. In the bottom of the 10th, he ended the game with a Willie Mays-esque basket catch running towards the center field warning track, preventing an extra base hit.

Now, my question is will Raul Ibanez play in the All-Star game? Also, if he doesn't play, will Manuel pick Kemp to fill in? Gut feeling he will not pick Kemp even if Ibanez sits out.

Here's my main BLOG if you want to look me up. http://kenchanayoh.blogspot.com/

Wow the Bison had a monster game, but his catch was #4 on ESPNs great plays of the day.

Espn hates the Dodgers and the west and I don’t get CM picking his 1st baseman (4th one on allstar team). Manuel will probably start everyone in different positions than they play, kind of like his Mets.

ESPN does hate the Dodgers

So true. They only show Manny highlights anyways.
Since when does a Willie Mays basket catch garner only a 4th in the web gems

I missed Baseball tonight they probably would be better

Man the Bison is becoming one of the top players, I can’t remember us having a center fielder that good. In fact I like are outfield very much, hell I like are infield too. I rember last year when we got Blake a lot of people were saying how bad a fielder he was, if that is bad I will take that anyday.

MLB Network for baseball

I never watch ESPN for baseball anymore, unless the Sunday Night game is something I want to see.

I really like MLB Network

I haven’t watched Baseball Tonight all year. Quick pitch is much better on MLB Network.

Actually I don’t watch NFL Highlights on ESPN anymore either, now that there is the NFL Network.

And I don’t go to ESPN dot com anymore, now that there are blogs like this one.

Time’s are a changing.

Matt Kemp, where aMAYSing happens!

And that catch was finished off with a Bo Jacksonian climb of the wall, with Kemp adding a hand slap of his own. I give it a 10 !

ESPN really hates the Dodgers, don't they?

They have a poll going on right now for the top web gem of the week, and Matt Kemp didn’t even make the final 5!

Instead, Aaron Rowand makes it twice, and Carlos Gomez makes it for standing at the wall and jumping. Pathetic.
