Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Guesses

Andy LaRoche
Darren Dreifort
???

Honestly, those are both probably wrong since both actually made it to the majors. Unlike others here, I haven’t been following the farm system very closely up until recently. I’m sure some here would peg the 3 dodgers though.

If you haven't already read the article

Then nope, that’s wrong. And Dreifort was a prospect more than ten years ago.

JtD (Joel The Destroyer)
Greg Miller
3rd one is tougher – I don’t think LaRoche qualifies and I can’t think of any recent busts other then those two so we may have to go back to the early days.
Maybe Ben Diggins but he blew his arm out so hard to say he was a bust.
How about Thurston though anyone who expected much from him was just not reading the tea leaves correctly.
Chin Lung-Hu might qualify but he was hardly a big prospect.

Without looking I don’t think we have a 3rd and that they probably overrated somebody. I’ll now go take a look.

I had Guzman. I didn’t think they would go the injury route, though. Crasnick had a similar article on ESPN today including Hee Seop Choi.

Guzman was an easy one to guess. But I missed on the pitcher, and I didn’t even think of Boom Boom because he came up through another team’s minor league org.

I wonder if Jeff Passan would rank himself above or below Ken Rosenthal on his list of Top Ten Least Relevant Internet Baseball columnists?
