Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

After this game, some people are gone!

Seriously though, tonight's game was great to watch with a bad ending.

- Kuo looks great.

- Who would have thought both Troncoso and Broxton would get roughed up today?

- We were two innings away from using Loney and Loretta again.

- One day, we will win in St. Louis again.

- One day, we will score runs again.

- You usually figure out if Jeff Weaver can pitch well or not by the first batter, and tonight he was stellar. Can't use him on Friday now though.

- Elbert was pulled from his start at Triple-A tonight. Its either Leach or McDonald, and I guess it's Leach since he and Elbert are both left handed.

- BTW, Clayton Kershaw? Ace.

Ace, ace, ace, ace, ace, ace, ace, ace, ace.

If he’s healthy he’s fine, no matter where the game is. And you know this.

yes but look at the splits from last year and the year before.

he is wierdly way less effective on the road then at home,. and you are saying his 6.16 era on the road is because of his toe?

by matthewmafa on Jul 29, 2009 11:28 PM PDT up reply actions

Er, yeah?

When he struggled against the Padres, and the Brewers, it was on the road.

by Tripon on Jul 29, 2009 11:30 PM PDT up reply actions

Pretty much, yes. He struggled in those cases, basically had two different times on the road with back-to-back appearances with 2+ runs. Each time he was either coming off an injury, or hiding an injury. Its still on him, especially for hiding the injury, but I’m saying over time those numbers will even out.

I don’t think there’s anything psychologically making Broxton give up runs on the road

maybe because the mound in dodger stadium

is higher then all the other mounds in the other stadiums

by matthewmafa on Jul 29, 2009 11:41 PM PDT up reply actions

That's a myth more than reality.

The size of the mounds is regulated by MLB
