A lot of murmuring in the stands after both. The NA was sung with random rubato thorughout; I don’t know how Nancy Bea managed to accompany her. But that was not nearly the disaster GBA was. Forgotten words, even though they are shown on the giant banner screen on the facing of the Loge deck right in front of her! As you can hear, many notes out of pitch. Terrible enunciation at times. Just awful.

She was featured on the Stern show either Thursday or Wednesday morning. Awful!

I really, really wanted to start a “God Bless America” blog this season in which I post youtube videos of the performances and then review and comment on them, as there have been some classics. One of my favs: that little boy with the american flag shirt and bowl haircut.

Maybe next year! Gotta figure out the technical aspects.
