oh, but i did see 24 batters in a row retired, thanks to Senor Ramon Martinez in 1998

I saw Mike Morgan, then of the Reds, retire the first 19 Padres (with Joe and the boys). Mark Sweeney of all people broke up the perfecto.

Why can’t he just be like Kemp and strike out a lot?

The only other no hitter i've seen all the way through we won!
so this one should be exciting
William Doolittle at your service, a.k.a. will do.
Wainwright is throwing a no-hitter and has faced the minimum
But no perfecto any more.
Didn’t the 1988 Dodgers get no-hit, maybe a perfecto, once? Was that the Tom Browning game?
The 2008 Dodgers did and won the game :)

LA Times story today about the Angel game yesterday: during the game all 9 batters in the Angel lineup had a .300 or better average…first time since the ’30’s that has happened w/at least 200 AB’s….pretty good job by their hitting coach

Johnny F’ing Cash was a MAN!
My other brother and I saw Bruce the weekend after he died; the whole band came out dressed in black and sang “I walk the line” to open the show. Fantastic!

First the perfect game, then the no-hitter, next the shutout, and, finally, the win
All will be taken from you Adam Wainwright.
Whew, thanks for the save… my wife would’ve gotten awfully suspicious when I tried to explain, “No, no, it’s just a baseball game thread I swear!”

Broxton is doing his job. If the worse that Pujols got was a walk, big deal. It was the aftermath that was the problem. Martin had no business throwing that ball.
