Loney must be in the doghouse.

damn if lloney isnt going to play

let it be anyone but mark loretta againsdt a RIGHt handed pitcher!!

Not like Loney doesn't deserve a seat in the doghouse

but I’m certainly not in support of more playing time for Loretta. Play Beard at 1b and Abreu at 3b if you determined to give Loney some pine.

Haven’t heard yet. I’ll find out when Torre meets with the media.

by Eric Stephen on Aug 23, 2009 10:44 AM PDT up reply actions

Torre’s not going to have any info about him that is relevant. I’ll try to find some of the organization people to see if they have any info.

Reposting from a pervious thread
George Sherill has pitched only 41.1 innings for the O’s in 4 months of work.

He already pitched 11.2 innings with the Dodgers in 3 weeks of work. He will past his career innings amount with his next outing.

Joe Torre is going to kill him. Kill him dead.

Or you could be just overreacting.

by Eric Stephen on Aug 23, 2009 10:47 AM PDT up reply actions

I’m not really bothered by the increase at all. He’s on pace to throw 70 innings, let’s say 75 if he continues to work at the Torre pace. Any arm can handle that workload, regardless of the previous season.

Vic the Brick Jacobs is wearing a giant Dodger poncho. Apparently the “no logos” rule for the media is relaxed for people with no credibility. He is currently speaking with some rabbis on the field, and tried to get Manny to do a dance with them.

I can't remember the last time I listened to am 570

what a joke the ucla station is. I’ll listen to Rome online or when I’m in LA, but I don’t consider that 570 programming since it’s a syndicated show. You couldn’t pay me to listen to Myers, Homer Hartman, and the Vic the Joke.

Matt and Money is usually pretty good.

But, its not really a sports show anymore, and the show also went national as well.

Yay Abreu

I get my wish for an Abreu start on the infield this weekend.

Don’t shame me, Tony!

by stillnotah8er on Aug 23, 2009 11:34 AM PDT up reply actions

yeah

he should have started yesterday vs lily but at least now new get to see him go 0 for 4 with 4 groundouts

Ausmus has played a few different infield positions

I’d be a little more excited about giving Abreu an educational 0-3 session if he at least showed the ability to lift a fly out of the infield. But it may be a luxury we still have in terms of the divisional lead.

I’ll have some more notes up in a bit, but Loney is out today with the flu. He actually left early yesterday.

He is available to PH if needed.
