Chad Billingsley and the 6th inning.
This isn't a post to try to cast blame or negatively criticize Billingsley, but its becoming a trend for teams to score on Billingsley in the 6th inning. Entering into sunday's game, opponents were doing .310/.421/.417 in 108 PAs. While he has a .368 BABIP in the 6th inning suggesting him being unlucky, and its likely a fluke. It is preventing him from going longer into the game, and yet, Torre won't pull most times for a reliever, rather that that Chad work out his problems.
So why is Chad struggling in the 6th inning? Just a fluke or a mental hurdle that he must overcome?

Chad B and the 6th
I think it has to do with some conditioning on his part. Some of it might just be mental as well. I remember Darren Dreifort had the same problem but I think he was a 5 inning guy. Some guys are meant to pitch deep, some are not.
